Adam's Apple
- Location: North West Coast
- Boat Ride: 45-30 mins
- Depth: 15–18 meters. Max 21 meters
- Best Season: November to April
Adam’s Apple is named after a granite rock protruding above the water, though the origin of its name remains unclear. Beneath the surface, the site features a beautiful granite underwater topography with exciting swim-throughs.
Divers can encounter Lobsters, Reef sharks, Turtles, and a large diversity of Indian Ocean tropical species, making it a vibrant and engaging dive site.
This dive offers an adventurous and rewarding experience, suitable for intermediate to experienced divers.
Stalk Patch
- Location: West
- Boat Ride: 15-20 mins
- Depth: 15–18 meters. Max 30 meters
- Best Season: November to April
Stalk Patch is an underwater dive area comprising three interconnected dive sites, centred around a dramatic granite mountain formation. The varied topography includes pinnacles, ridges, slopes, and exciting swim-throughs, providing excellent shelter for marine life and creating an adventurous environment for exploration.
Divers can expect a rich diversity of Indian Ocean marine species, including schools of barracuda, jackfish, reef fish, moray eels, lobsters, and occasional sightings of reef sharks and turtles. During the season, Whale Sharks may also be encountered, making this site particularly thrilling for experienced divers.
This site offers a dynamic and rewarding dive experience, suitable for intermediate to experienced divers due to its depth, underwater features, and seasonal megafauna.
Alice in Wonderland
- Location: West Coast
- Boat Ride: 15-20 mins, depending on season
- Depth: 10-12 meters. Max 17 meters
- Best Season: May to October
Alice in Wonderland gets its name because the Seychelles is not a coral island, yet this site thrives with vibrant hard corals. The dive consists of two reefs separated by a sandy bank, offering diverse underwater terrain. Despite two El Niño events, around 65% of the corals have survived, creating a healthy and colourful reef environment.
The site supports a large diversity of Indian Ocean tropical species. Divers may encounter turtles, scorpionfish, clownfish (Nemos), and occasional baby reef sharks. Whale Sharks are also commonly seen during the season.
This dive offers a magical and exciting underwater experience, suitable for divers of all certification levels.
Coincidence

Coincidence is a coastal granite dive site, named after its unexpected discovery in 1991 when a dive boat broke down en route to another site. While awaiting assistance, an exploration dive revealed a unique underwater landscape shaped by dramatic granite formations. The site features impressive cut-throughs and cave-like swim-throughs, creating an exciting and scenic diving experience.
Marine life is abundant, with common sightings including Reef Sharks, Octopus, Lobsters, and a wide variety of Indian Ocean reef species. The site is also well-known during whale shark season, offering excellent opportunities for both diving and snorkelling encounters.
Elephant Rock
- Location: South East
- Boat Ride: Less than 10 mins
- Depth: Average 13-15 meters. Max 18 meters
- Best Season: November to April
Elephant Rock is named after its massive granite formation that rises above the ocean surface, resembling the shape of an elephant. Beneath the water, the site features striking granite topography combined with vibrant hard coral formations, creating a visually engaging dive environment.
Divers can expect a rich diversity of Indian Ocean tropical marine life. Common sightings include clownfish, Thornback Boxfish, lobsters, stonefish, and occasional encounters with Hawksbill Turtles and Whitetip Reef Sharks. Whale Sharks may also be encountered, making this site particularly thrilling for experienced divers.

Jailhouse Rock

Jailhouse Rock is renowned for its striking granite formation that rises above the ocean surface and extends dramatically below. The site takes its name from the old police bay prison that operated in the 18th and early 19th century.
The site is ideal for drift diving, offering an exciting experience with steady currents and excellent marine visibility.
Divers can expect a rich diversity of Indian Ocean tropical marine life. Highlights include Whitetip and Gray Reef Sharks, schools of Jackfish and Barracuda, Eagle Rays, Giant Moray Eels, Parrotfish, Hump head Wrasse, and lobsters, Turtles. Lost City is named for its hidden location and the challenge of finding it. This underwater site features a dramatic granite formation, partially concealed beneath the ocean surface, creating a sense of discovery and adventure. A magical swim-through adds to the allure, allowing divers to navigate through the rock formations and explore the vibrant marine life.
The site is renowned for its abundant Indian Ocean species. Divers can encounter stingrays, sharks, barracuda, lobsters, octopus, and a stunning wall of Yellow Snappers and Bigeye Snappers.

Dugon Island

The site is named after an old restaurant that once faced directly onto the reef. Compared to Alice in Wonderland, Oscar Reef stretches longer, offering extended exploration opportunities.

Turtle Rock derives its name from a distinctive granite formation that rises above the surface, resembling the shape of a turtle’s shell. Beneath the water, the site features a combination of rocky outcrops and reef structures, creating an impressive and varied underwater landscape.
This dive site supports a wide range of Indian Ocean marine life. Divers may encounter Green and Hawksbill Turtles, schools of Reef Fish, Snappers, and Fusiliers, along with Moray Eels, Parrotfish, and occasional Reef Sharks. The reef structure also provides shelter for lobsters and other smaller marine species.
Turtle Rock offers an enjoyable and scenic dive experience, suitable for experienced divers, with calm to moderate conditions and rewarding marine encounters.

Johnathan Richards
Managing Director/Captain
Jonathan Richards is the Managing Director and captain who steers the entire operation at Dive Resort Seychelles, bringing over two decades of hands-on experience and dedication to the team. Beginning his journey in 2004 as a Divemaster, he quickly developed a deep passion for the ocean and the dive industry. In 2010, he advanced to become a certified dive instructor, sharing his knowledge and love for the underwater world with divers from around the globe.
After 20 years of commitment and growth within the company, Jonathan took on the challenge of leading the business, continuing its legacy while adding his own vision and leadership. As both director and captain, he plays a key role in ensuring smooth daily operations on land and at sea.
His approach is simple and genuine: “If you’re happy, then we’re happy.” This philosophy reflects the team’s commitment to delivering safe, enjoyable, and memorable diving experiences for every guest.

Grandy Franchatte
Head Dive Master
Grandy Franchatte is the Head Divemaster at Dive Resort Seychelles and a skilled mechanical engineer, bringing nearly 16 years of experience to the team. As the longest-serving member of the company, he holds an in-depth knowledge of both the dive sites and the day-to-day operations, making him an essential part of the resort.
Known for his unique character and lively attitude, Grandy is a true people person who brings energy and personality to every dive. Always engaging and full of stories, his enthusiasm is contagious—sometimes even continuing underwater. His passion, experience, and approachable nature ensure that every diver feels comfortable, confident, and part of the Dive Resort Seychelles family.

Sophie Thomas
Guest/Diver Relations
Sophie Thomas is the welcoming face of Dive Resort Seychelles, having been part of the team for the past 8 years. As the receptionist, she plays a key role in ensuring every guest feels comfortable, valued, and well looked after from the moment they arrive.
Sophie brings a warm and personal touch to the operation, helping everything run smoothly behind the scenes while maintaining a friendly and professional atmosphere. Full of energy and positivity, she creates a welcoming environment that sets the tone for an enjoyable and memorable experience both on land and at sea.

Isa Hontence

Isa Hontence is the skipper at Dive Resort Seychelles and has officially been part of the team for the past 2 years. His journey with the company began even earlier during his college work experience, where his strong work ethic and positive attitude quickly stood out.
